Sherlock will not be available from Monday, November 4, 2024 - 6:00PM to Tuesday, November 5, 2024 - 6:00PM

The system will be unavailable for system maintenance and upgrades.

This unusually long downtime is necessary to allow extensive filesystem check operations to run overnight.

During this time, you will be unable to access the system. The scheduler queue will be preserved and queued jobs will begin running once the machine has returned to service. Jobs that can’t terminate before the maintenance starts will be delayed until after it ends.

A maintenance reservation has been created in the scheduler, so jobs that can’t be completed before the downtime will be held until after the machine is back in production.
