A partial power shutdown of the Stanford Research Computing Facility (SRCF), where Sherlock is hosted, is planned for February 4th, to perform required electrical work in the datacenter.

Sherlock will not be available on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 8:00AM to 6:00PM

The system will be unavailable during that time, to allow electrical work to be performed as well as conduct regular system maintenance and updates.

During this time, you will be unable to access the system. The scheduler queue will be preserved and queued jobs will start running again once the machine has returned to service. A maintenance reservation has been created in the scheduler, so jobs that can’t be completed before the downtime will be held until after the machine is back in production.
