Electrical work is required in SRCF (the datacenter where Sherlock resides) to accommodate relocated SLAC computing/storage equipment. A circuit breaker needs to be replaced, which unfortunately involves powering off a substantial portion of the datacenter.

As a result, Sherlock will not be available Wednesday, July 8th, 2020, from 7AM to 6PM.

During this downtime, access to Sherlock will be unavailable, login and data transfer nodes will be offline, and jobs won’t run. We placed a maintenance reservation in the scheduler, so no new job will be allowed to start if it doesn’t have a chance to end before the downtime.
